ELECTRIC INDIGO
Electric Indigo is a DJ, composer, and musician who has performed in 46 countries across the world. Known for her intelligent and refined approach to techno, she crafts DJ sets that showcase both variety and depth. A key figure in the electronic music scene, Electric Indigo lived in Berlin from 1993 to 1996, working at the legendary Hardwax record store — one of Techno’s most influential hubs. In 1998, she founded female:pressure, a transnational network for female, non-binary, and transgender artists, which has played a crucial role in promoting diversity and visibility in the industry.
In this interview, we spoke with the artist about her journey and the influences that shaped her, during a time where techno was just beginning to emerge.
